Services

The Brown County Public Health Department provides screenings (NOT diagnosis) and education and or referral by appointment only.

For Children (birth to 18 years of age) who are VFC eligible (Vaccine for Children Eligible) see link for guidelines:
For adults immunizations are available for private pay only at cost of the vaccine.  Cost varies due to changes from the vaccine distributor.  Vaccines available include Tetanus (Tdap or Td), Hepatitis B, Flu (inactive influenza injection).
  • High blood pressure screenings
  • Cholesterol check for hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol screening NOT diagnostic) $10 charge
  • Blood sugar screening
  • Anemia screening (hemoglobin only)
  • Lead screening for children (for uninsured children only)
  • Tuberculosis screening and followup
  • Head lice screening and over the counter treatment (low cost)
  • Communicable disease investigation
  • Pregancy testing, family planning information and referral, and STD information
  • Height/Weight and Basal Metabolic Index (BMI)
  • Immunizations: APPOINTMENT REQUIRED
