Brown County Health Clinic

News Release - Brown County Democrat - April 4, 2013

Effective June 7, 2013, the Community Health Center of Brown County, on Locust Lane in Nashville, also known as Brown County Health Support Clinic, will permanently close, the operating company announced this morning.

Patients of Dr. Paul Page and Dr. Terrance Drake need to transfer their case care to a new physician, Indiana Health Centers reported.

Current patients are encouraged to contact the office at 988-6678 to have copies of their medical records transferred to their new physician. After June 7, medical records can be obtained by contacting Indiana Health Centers, c/o Community Health Center of Jackson County, 113 N. Chestnut St., Seymour, IN 47274. The phone number is (812) 524-8388.

Operation of the clinic has been in limbo since October, when IHC announced it would no longer provide services in Brown County. The clinic primarily served the uninsured and underinsured. It was formerly operated by the Brown County Health Department.

IHC took over operations in July 2011 with hopes of providing comprehensive medical care and becoming a federally-qualified health center. It never reached those goals.
